Cleveland Browns defensive tackle Kiante Tripp has been arrested and jailed on charges of burglary stemming from an incident which reportedly occurred in College Park, Georgia.
Tripp, per WAGA-TV in Atlanta, and two others are accused of threatening people inside of an apartment and then ?ransacking? the place. Police told The Associated Press that Tripp and the men were arrested Sunday.?Investigators reportedly told the station that Tripp and the other men were looking for an individual and some money that allegedly was stolen from them. Neighbors told police officials that men with guns entered the apartment. The original report also said that one member of the party was also changed with possession of marijuana.
The Browns, through general manager Tom Heckert, confirmed their awareness regarding the second-year player but declined any further comment. The 6-foot-6-inch, 276-pound Tripp was an undrafted rookie who was later promoted to the Browns? roster last November, playing in three games and recording a lone tackle.
